Bode-Museum

Since October 2006, the Bode Museum on the Museum Island has been open to the public in new splendor. The impressive three-winged museum building is located on the northernmost tip of the Museum Island directly on the Spree so that it looks like a monumental ship protruding out of the water.
Inside the museum, visitors can expect three collections of international standing: the Sculpture Collection (works of art from the early Middle Ages to the end of the 18th century) and the Museum of Byzantine Art (art from the Western Roman and Byzantine Empires from the 3rd to the 15th century), the Numismatic Collection and the Children's Gallery.
