Sunday Market at Blå

Every Sunday, from midday until about 5 pm, this hidden flea market takes over Blå in Oslo's retro Grünerlokka district and tries to find new homes for an array of vintage clothing, handmade items, local artworks, and quirky trinkets. Surrounded by color-boasting murals and red-brick buildings, Søndagsmarkedet radiates a captivatingly artsy vibe that transports visitors into a cheerful browsing mode and invites them to lazily saunter through the various stalls and tables. The community behind the market is also extremely welcoming and helpful so that meeting and chatting with locals is almost inevitable. As a secondhand market,  Søndagsmarkedet is a budget-friendly alternative to some of Oslo's more upscale shops and a great place to find a unique souvenir.
