The new San Antón Market has a real surprise in store for visitors to its third floor, namely La Cocina de San Antón. The restaurant, with its vast terrace and excellent views over the Chueca neighbourhood, cooks food purchased in the first-floor market stalls for a nominal fee. Telling the vendor that it’s destined for La Cocina means that visitors’ purchases can be taken up to the restaurant where the staff prepare the dish to be enjoyed with a variety of garnishes and sauces. Daily set lunches and varied à la carte options are also available, fusing traditional Spanish cuisine with an international flair while focusing on fresh seasonal produce.
