Four Seasons Gresham Palace

This wonderful example of Art Noveau architecture serves as a luxury hotel today. If you enjoy architecture, you shouldn't leave Budapest without at least giving this palace a passing look. In the past, inside of the palace stood the Nakó house, which not only served a different purpose but was also designed in a different, Neo-classical, architectonical style. It was only after the original palace was torn down that the Gresham Palace could be built. If you do not travel on a budget, consider staying in the hotel at least for a night. Its visitors enjoy magnificent views of the city and the Danube river.
