Rieter Park

Located in the residential district of Enge, Rieter Park was built in 1855 as a garden for a rich merchant's villa. The park was acquired by the city of Zurich and became a public space in 1945. Set on a hillside, the park affords visitors beautiful views over Lake Zurich and the Alps, and is a particularly peaceful corner of the city, where locals enjoy hanging out with friends or family over a picnic or after a paying a visit to the Rietberg Museum
